I am concerned about the safety of my child at camp.
We have carefully planned camp, with safety of children and staff as paramount. Our risk assessment provides more detail and can be found below you will also find government guidance on eligibility for camp at the top of this page.
The bubble system we have introduced, is in line with government guidelines which has been followed by schools. We have supported schools and run camps during the pandemic and our staff are experienced at operating in this way. By limiting the amount of children in each group/bubble, we are restricting the contact with other children and adults. We have numerous measures in place to ensure child safety and will constantly review and update procedures according to guidelines and our experiences at camp.

All Moving Matters staff are Primary PE Specialists, working in local schools teaching Physical Education. All staff are DBS checked, first aid and child protection trained. Each camp has a Camp Director who is in charge of overseeing the administration, staffing and running of the day. Any issues can be discussed with the Camp Director at the beginning or end of the day. You can get to the know the team better by looking at our meet the team page https://www.moving-matters.org/index.php/movingmatters/our-team
Do you have a behaviour management procedure?
Yes we do, at Moving Matters we believe in the importance of mutual respect between children and adults at camp, children are made aware of these expectations at the beginning of the camp day. We focus on positive reinforcement to manage challenging behaviour and we manage children’s behaviour in the same way we would within the school environment. We reserve the right to exclude a child if consistently challenging behaviour is displayed at camp.
What will my child be doing at camp?
We have a morning, lunch and afternoon break.
During the day we have 4 different activity sessions at each of the Mini Movers, SLD soccer and Play Create Move camps
