Activity: for this activity, it will probably be best to use a wide open space, such as a park. This activity focuses on speed and running with the ball. Set out a 30m track and practise running with the ball from one end to the other as fast as possible, taking as few touches as possible. Touches should be heavier than with dribbling, though not too heavy to ensure the ball is still under control.


Progress: set out markers in a zig zag pattern across the track. Practise running with the ball and making gradual turn as you move at speed. 


Things to think about: what parts of the foot are best to use for this activity? When is it useful to run with the ball at speed, taking heavier touches?


Scoring: record your best time for completing each stage of the activity.
