This week we are learning a range of Athletics skills. Day by day, you will learn a range of athletics techniques and finish by putting your skills to the test with a skills/performance challenge at the end of the week. See your guide for the week below:

Practise your jumping using the guides below:

Activity 1: Standing Long Jump. Mark a clear starting point on the ground with a straight line and use a small object (such as a coin) to mark behind your heel where you land. Bring your toes up to the line with feet together and practise jumping as far forward as you can.


Can you jump further each time? Can you land with 2 feet together without losing your balance? Can you jump further than someone in your family?


Extension Activity: Triple Jump. Using the guide above, practise your triple jump technique. How far can you jump with proper technique?


Daily Challenge: Can you set a new personal best for your jumps 3 times in one day?
