This week we are learning a range of Athletics skills. Day by day, you will learn a range of athletics techniques and finish by putting your skills to the test with a skills/performance challenge at the end of the week. See your guide for the week below:

Practise your long distance running using the guide below:

 Activity: Set out a 10m track in a straight line. How many laps of the track can you complete in 5 minutes? Remember to pace yourself and not to run too quickly at the start!

Extend: How many laps can you complete in 10 minutes? Can you complete a 1 kilometre run with a family member? What is your best time?

Support: For younger children, decrease the time spent running to 2-3 minutes.
